F. A. Q.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Price depends on a lot of factors, like size, placement, detail, etc... Please see my Booking page for my rates. I do my best to give all my clients an estimate so that there are no surprises. If you have a certain budget in mind please let me know in your consultation form and I'll do my best to design the tattoo within that range.
How long will it take for my tattoo to heal?
Healing time ranges from client to client but on average it takes about 3-4 weeks for a tattoo to be considered healed and finished peeling. However some tattoos may take longer to heal based on location, size, complexity, health, and how the tattoo is taken care of after.
What forms of Payment do you accept?
I accept Cash, Cashapp, Venmo and Zelle.
I also now accept card payments and installment payments through my affiliate booking link on Co. Create. Do keep in mind that there may be a $10 processing fee.
What Styles can you tattoo?
I currently specialize in Color Realism and Illustrative tattoos.
However I am open to other styles like Black & Grey, Traditional Japanese, and American Traditional.
I do not tattoo Lettering/Script, Micro, or tribal tattoos. But I’m happy to recommend other artists who do!
Do you do Cover-Ups or Reworks of other artist’s tattoos?
While I do accept these kinds of projects, I am not able to take on every cover-up or rework that comes my way. What I’ll accept is determined on a case-by-case basis and is left to my discretion. If I believe we’re a good fit, I will reach back out to you to discuss details moving forward.
For some cover-ups/reworks I may recommend laser removal first to lighten up the previous tattoo enough to better work with.
I will only rework or complete another tattoo in my style- no exceptions.
Can you cover up scars, moles, birthmarks, or other skin blemishes?
I will tattoo over scars depending on the condition of the tissue and individual’s health. I will not tattoo over scar tissue that is heavily keloided or still in the process of healing. Scar tissue in general has a higher probability of rejecting ink and being more painful to tattoo than regular skin tissue. So I prefer to work with scars that are well aged, settled into the skin, relatively flat, and light in color.
I do not recommend covering up moles or blemishes on your body because it could leave you at higher risk to develop skin related diseases and cancers like melanoma. It’s important to be able to monitor these spots in the event they suddenly become abnormal in the future.
I will not tattoo over sunburns, outbreaks, or extremely damaged/dry skin.
Do you do Permanent Make-Up (PMU) or “Cosmetic Tattoos”?
No, I only offer tattoo services. PMU, or ”Cosmetic Tattoos”, are an entirely different profession and service from traditional tattoos. They require separate licensing, and a completely different form of training & skill set.
Do you do Piercings?
No, I only offer tattoo services. Piercings are not offered at my studio. I highly recommend Shaman Modifications though for all piercings in the Austin area.
